JiGO COB-68C Crane Pendant Control Station
The COB-68C is the largest station in the JiGO pendant range: fourteen motion buttons across seven motions, twin cable entries, start and stop, a selector and an emergency stop.
Seven motions needs a lot of conductors. Rather than force them all through one thick, stiff pendant cable, the COB-68C brings in two separate cables through two strain-relief grips, so each cable stays flexible enough to hang properly and the station is not pulled out of shape by a single heavy trunk.
On this station
- Fourteen motion buttons arranged as seven interlocked pairs in two columns
- Twin cable entries so the control cores can be split across two pendant cables instead of one oversized one
- Green START, red STOP, selector switch and red mushroom emergency stop grouped at the head
- Momentary contacts — every motion button is spring return, so the movement stops the moment the operator lets go
- Mechanical interlock — opposing directions are interlocked inside the station, so up and down cannot be commanded together
- Strain relief — the cable entry takes the weight of the pendant cable through a moulded grip, not through the terminals
The fourteen motion buttons sit in two columns of seven, each opposing pair mechanically interlocked and spring return. The control circuit devices — START, STOP, selector and latching emergency stop — are grouped at the head above them.
Wiring and selection
A station of this weight must never hang on its conductors. Suspend it from a steel cord or chain anchored to the trolley, dress both cables slack alongside, and check the strain-relief grips as part of the periodic crane inspection.

The COB-68C is used on heavy process cranes, steel plant and foundry cranes, multi-hoist gantries and specialised handling machines with grabs, magnets or tilting gear.
- Always use a strain wire: suspend the station on a steel cord or chain anchored to the trolley, and let the electrical cable hang slack beside it. A pendant hanging on its own conductors will fail at the terminals.
- Switch coils, not motors: the station drives contactor coils. Size the contactors and overloads for the motor; the pendant only has to carry the coil current.
- Legends: button legends can be supplied as UP/DOWN/EAST/WEST/NORTH/SOUTH, as arrows, or blank for your own marking. Say which when ordering.
