The JiGO JG-7274 is a 16 A 2P+E (3 pin) mechanically interlocked socket with isolator switch from JiGO's IEC 60309-2 industrial connector range. Rated 220–250 V AC at 50/60 Hz with the blue (230 V) colour code and the 6h earth-contact position that makes IEC 60309 plugs and sockets of the same rating interchangeable across brands. The housing is impact-resistant, flame-retardant engineering plastic, contacts are solid brass with a spring-loaded earth-first design, and the protection class is IP44 splash-proof (indoor and covered outdoor use). Cable clamp and gland take 1–2.5 mm² flexible cable.
The rotary switch must be OFF before the plug can be inserted or withdrawn, so the socket is never made or broken on load. For motors, welding sets and machines where arcing at the plug must be avoided.
