INK RIBBON 150mtr.
A 150 metre ink ribbon cassette for ferrule and tube printing machines — the longer cassette, for benches that print enough markers to make changeovers a nuisance.
The only difference between this and the 100 metre cassette is how often somebody has to stop and change it. On a panel shop bench printing markers for several boards a day, the longer ribbon is the obvious choice: fewer interruptions, fewer part-used cassettes in the drawer, and a lower cost per printed marker.
What to know about ribbon
- Thermal transfer printing — a heated head bonds the ink to the ferrule, tube or tape, so the legend survives oil, solvent and handling
- 150 metres — roughly half as many changeovers again as the 100 metre cassette
- Machine specific — quote your printer model when ordering; cassettes are not interchangeable between families
- Consumption follows legend length — a long multi-line marker uses several times the ribbon of a short number
Keep a spare cassette on the shelf regardless of which length you use. A printer that runs out of ribbon halfway through a board stops the whole wiring operation, and ribbon is not something anybody has in stock locally at short notice.

The 150 metre ribbon cassette is bought by panel builders, switchgear manufacturers and machine OEMs printing wire markers in volume.
- Quote your printer model so the correct cassette is supplied first time.
- Keep a spare. A printer out of ribbon stops the wiring bench, and ribbon is rarely available locally at short notice.
- Also stocked: 100 metre ribbon, label tape, PVC ferrules and tubes, and heat shrink marker sleeving.
- Availability: normally 7–10 days from confirmed order; fast-moving sizes are usually in stock in Ludhiana.
