The Phoenix Contact VAL-MS 1000DC-PV/2+V/SRT (order no. 1801240) is a Type 2 surge protective device for the DC side of solar photovoltaic installations up to 1000 V DC. It protects inverters, string combiner boxes and PV modules against surge voltages from lightning and switching.
The arrester carries three pluggable VAL-MS-1000DC-PV-ST/SRT protection modules (1807673), so a worn module can be replaced without disturbing the wiring. Each module has a visual status indicator.
