The Phoenix Contact VAL-MS-EE-T2-1+1-320-2BE/SRT is a Type 2 surge protective device (SPD) from the VALVETRAB family for single-phase AC distribution boards. It uses the 1+1 circuit: a varistor plug VAL-MS-EE-T2-320-P/SRT between phase and neutral, and an F-MS-40 ST/SRT plug between neutral and earth, so both conductors are protected against switching surges and indirect lightning surges.
Both protection modules are plug-in units — a worn module can be pulled out and replaced without disturbing the wiring. The base snaps onto a 35 mm DIN rail and has a clear neutral (N) marking. Made by Phoenix Contact, Blomberg, Germany.
