M40 Nylon Cable Gland

The JiGO M40 is a metric (M) thread nylon cable gland used to bring a cable into a panel, junction box or enclosure while keeping dust and water out. Tightening the dome nut squeezes the internal claw and seal onto the cable, so the joint is watertight and strain-relieved — the cable cannot be pulled out or shaken loose by vibration.

It has an M40 × 1.5 mm metric thread, which fits a 40 mm threaded entry. Metric-thread glands are the usual choice on imported enclosures, European-built panels and machine-tool wiring, where the gland plate is tapped to M sizes rather than the older PG sizes.

The body is moulded nylon (PA), so it will not corrode or seize like a brass gland in damp or chemically aggressive conditions, and it is light enough not to load a thin panel wall. The sealing ring and O-ring are NBR. Sealing is rated IP68. Each gland comes with its matching locknut.

Fitted by hand or with an ordinary spanner — no special tool needed. Standard colour is grey.
